Welcome at Microsys
MICROSYS is a laboratory of the University of Liege belonging to the Montefiore Institute (Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science). It was created in 2007 with the support of Walloon Government and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Microsys conducts inter-disciplinary research on ultra-low-power microsystems and miniaturized electronic circuits, including:
- Micro-assembly, interconnection methods and advanced packaging
- Energy harvesting and ultra-low-power electronic devices and circuits
- Connected sensors systems
- Design of integrated circuits
- Integrated SPAD-based imagers
Microsys' main facility comprise a 200 m² clean room certified ISO 7 (Class 10,000) including equipment for micro assembly, interconnection and packaging of miniaturised sensors and corresponding interfaces, as well as an advanced electronics measurement laboratory.
This infrastructure combined with Microsys' design expertise in ultra-low-power microsystems and miniaturized interfaces, integrated electronic circuits, energy harvesting for biomedical applications and integrated imagers, play a key role in developing, assembling, packaging and measuring state-of-the-art microsystems and dedicated hardware prototypes.
