Description

The Optec WS Flex is an opto-mechanical multifunctional system equipped with UV laser for micro-machining and micro-fabrication used for processing of variety materials.

Capacities

  • Fully automatic PC controlled system
  • 355 nm, 12 W UV DPSS pulsed laser (Talon 355-12W Spectra Physics)
  • Minimum working envelope (X/Y/Z): 300 mm x 240 mm x 50 mm
  • Repeatability of X/Y/Z movement: 2 μm or better
  • Maximum travel speed: 500 mm/s
  • Inspection camera with motorized zoom up to 100x magnification
  • OpteCad software, compatible with AutoCad environment
  • Vibration damping system
  • Fume extractor.

Applications

The Optec WS Flex multifunctional system is used for UV laser micro-machining and micro-fabrication for variety applications:

  • Patterning metal layers, plastics substrates and carriers such flexible, rigid PCB and laminated substrates
  • Grooving selected plastics, metals, ceramics and composite materials
  • Singulation plastic carrier such flexible, rigid PCB and laminated substrates on individual pieces
  • Drill through holes in plastic carrier such flexible, rigid PCB and laminated substrates
  • Micromachining microfluidic channels in selected material
  • Laser marking.
